Universal Natural Gas, LLC (together, “UniGas”, “our”, “us” or “we”) knows that many visitors to our website are concerned about the information they may provide and how we may use that information, so the following privacy policy set out herein (“Privacy Policy”) is provided in an attempt to address those concerns. This Privacy Policy describes how and why we collect or share this information and tells you about your rights and choices about the use of that Personal Information. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with other documents that we provide to you, including our Terms and Conditions.

  2. Traffic Data. UniGas, its affiliates and its agents (including third party service providers) automatically track and collect certain information when you visit our Website, including your:

(a) Internet Protocol (IP) address;

(b) domain server;

(c) type of computer;

(d) type of web browser;

(e) hardware model, unique device identifiers (UDID);

(f) mobile network information including phone number, agent version, platform, SDK version, timestamp, API key (identifier for application);

(g) application version, model, manufacturer and OS version of device or hardware;

(h) session start/stop time, locale, time zone, and network status (including but not limited to Wi-Fi information) (collectively “Traffic Data”).

Traffic Data is typically anonymous information that does not personally identify you but is helpful for marketing purposes or for improving your experience on the Website.

  1. Personal Information. “Personal information” refers to information that we may collect that is particular to you or reasonably allows us to identify you, individually. We have grouped together the following categories of Personal Information to more easily explain how we use this information:

UniGas, its affiliates and its agents (including third party service providers) use Contact Information to send you information about us or our services, or promotional material from some of our affiliates or partners, or to contact you when necessary, such as for administrative matters. We use your Financial Information to verify your qualifications for certain services and to bill you for services. We use your Demographic Information to customize and tailor your experience on the Website, including displaying content that we think you might be interested in and according to your preferences. We use the information we obtain from of our Cookies to recognize your computer or mobile device when you visit the Website and to track your navigation through the Website, for the purposes listed above. Except to a buyer or successor of our business, UniGas does not rent or sell your Personal Information to any third party.

We use Google Analytics to track how you and others use the Website in order to manage and improve the Website. Google Analytics uses Cookies and collects information such as how often users visit this Website, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other Personal Information. The information generated and collected by the Cookies about your use of our Website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with Personal Information that we collect from you. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser, or you can opt out by downloading a browser add-on here. We use the various Google Adwords features to advertise on third party websites, including Google, to previous visitors to the Website. With Remarketing, third-party vendors use Cookies (including third-party Cookies such as those from DoubleClick) to provide our advertisements on the Internet based upon your past visits to the Website, and with Demographics and Interest Reporting, we use aggregate data provided (such as age, gender, and interests) to understand and communicate better with visitors to the Website. You may opt-out of Google’s use of Adwords by adjusting your advertising settings or by downloading the browser add-on discussed above.   1. Sharing and Retention of Your Personal Information

We share Demographic Data with advertisers and other third parties only on an aggregate basis. Financial Data resulting from credit card or checking account debit transactions will be directed to our vendors for transaction processing.

We may also share your Personal Information where: (a) it is necessary to comply with our contractual obligations, such as for processing your payment with third parties; (b) we have a legal duty to do so (for example, to assist with detecting and preventing fraud, tax evasion and financial crime or compliance with a court order); (c) we are obligated to do so in connection with regulatory reporting, litigation or asserting or defending legal rights and interests; (d) it is necessary to protect our system, protect your security or the security of others and to prosecute those responsible for breaching it; (e) it is needed to allow us to provide you with necessary or useful services (for example, sharing with our affiliates and service providers, including administrators, hosting providers, governmental agencies, regulatory organizations, and consultants); and (f) we have requested and you consented to us sharing your Personal Information.

Personal Information we collect from you may be kept for as long as it is required for legitimate business purposes, to perform contractual obligations, or for such longer periods as required or permitted by applicable legal or regulatory obligations. We may also be allowed to retain your Personal Information for a longer period if you have given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn.

  1. Your Choices Regarding Your Personal Information

We offer you choices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal Information. When you receive promotional communications from us via e-mail, you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by following the “unsubscribe” instructions provided in the promotional e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly at support@txgas.net. Despite your indicated e-mail preferences, we may send you administrative e-mails regarding Centric services, including, for example, administrative confirmations, and notices of updates to our Privacy Policy.

You may change any of your profile information by editing it in the profile settings page. You may request deletion of your Personal Information by contacting us at support@txgas.net, but please note that we may be required (by law or otherwise) to keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request, only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete your Personal Information, it will be deleted from our active database, but may remain in our archives.

  1. Protection of Your Personal Information

We recognize the trust you place in us when you give us Personal Information. Except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, we will keep your Personal Information private and will not share it with third parties, unless such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with a court order or other legal process; (b) protect our rights or property; (c) provide Services which you have requested from UniGas or (d) enforce our Terms of Service. Your Personal Information is stored on secure servers maintained by us and our vendors that are only accessible by authorized personnel. We provide you with the capability to transmit your Personal Information via secured and encrypted channels if you use a similarly equipped web browser. We take all steps deemed reasonable by us to keep your Personal Information secure against unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, and unlawful destruction or accidental loss. We also require our employees and third party data processors to respect the confidentiality of any Personal Information collected, stored or processed by UniGas. Unfortunately, no data can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot give an absolute assurance that your Personal Information will be secure at all times. UniGas will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorized access to your Personal Information and you provide such information at your own risk.

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) protects the online privacy and personal information of children under thirteen (13) years of age. The Website contain energy-related information that may be of educational interest to children. In compliance with COPPA, we do not promote online to children, and do not intentionally gather or collect or seek to gather or collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13. Thus, if we obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete that user’s Personal Information from our database..

UniGas reserves the right to change, modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time.
